I attended a session with David Bach, who wrote "The Automatic Billionaire." He shared that the median low income homeowner is 25% wealthier than the median high income renter, something we can use in a first time homebuyer’s session. Asians, African Americans and Hispanic/Latinos will account for over half of the nation’s population growth over the next 5 years – they will account for a large percentage of first time homeowners too. One in eight Americans are Veterans – we need to know the VA program well.
I also attended the general session where Lance Armstrong spoke. It’s amazing that Livestrong, his foundation, has sold around $70,000,000 in $1 wristbands since 2004 when they started. After surviving cancer, one of his doctors told him he had an “obligation for the cure,” meaning he needed to represent the disease. He suggested we all have to accept a challenge like this. Find our issue, find the obligation, find the cure…whatever it is.
