We are scheduled to have an internal ISO audit today. Heidi Stewart from our sister company GRL / Anyi will visit from Grand Rapids if the weather cooperates. If not, we'll reschedule.

- Listings were up 16 or 22.4% in November, YTD down 44 or 4.6%.

The Livingston County United Way is excited to share the news that, thanks to two donors who wish to remain anonymous, all contributions made to the organization on Monday, December 22nd will have triple the impact on the community. The donors have agreed to match all donations made on that date. The two Livingston County residents have stepped up because of the unprecedented needs in our community. Additionally, for every $1 donated to the Livingston County United Way, $1.87 goes directly back into community programs. The dollars raised will be designated specifically to assist with critical basic need programs serving Livingston County residents struggling to stay in their homes.
“We all know people who have lost their jobs, their homes, or just can’t keep up,” shared Piet Lindhout, Livingston County United Way President. “The calls from people needing assistance in Livingston County are being received at unprecedented rates. Just keeping the lights on and heating a home can be a challenge, and area food pantries are seeing double the number of people asking for help. The work we do has never been more important.
“Rather than trying to find a random last-minute gift for Uncle Homer, consider giving a gift to the Livingston County United Way in his honor instead,” suggested Lindhout. “For example, if you personally donate $100 on Monday, it will be matched to equal a $300 gift. Then taking into account that $1 = $1.87, the true impact of your investment becomes $561 that will go directly back into much-needed area programs in Livingston County. That’s an incredible return on investment!”
Memorial gifts or ‘in honor of’ gifts can be made to recognize special people and certificates and receipts will be provided for these types of gifts. Charitable year-end giving has distinct tax advantages and can be a potential way to reduce tax liabilities as all contributions are 100% tax deductible.
Contributions can be made by calling the Livingston County United Way at810-494-3000, by on-line giving at http://www.lcunitedway.org/, or in person at locations throughout Livingston County. The Livingston County United Way office, located at2980 Dorr Road, will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 22nd.
