This Saturday is the Brighton Optimist Club’s Free Fishing Derby for Kids at the Brighton Millpond from 8-11 am. Registration starts at 7:30 am.

Aimed at the 16 and under group, all they have to bring is
a rod & reel and a bucket for the fish. The Club supplies bait,
gives awards and even feeds the youngsters pizza while results are being tabulated. They have extra buckets and about 15 loaner rods & reels for kids without equipment. An adult must be with the children to sign a waiver, but this is a great local FREE event. They normally get 300-400+ kids.
