I'll conduct LinkedIn (The Basics) on Thursday, January 21 at 9:00 a.m. in the Brighton conference room. I will cover why you would want to have a presence on LinkedIn, how to set up an account, how to find connections and how to join groups of people with common interests.
Then next Thursday, January 28 at 9:00 a.m. I will conduct LinkedIn (Beyond the Basics). In this session I will show you how to do an advanced search, looking for prospects, how to connect with people you may have no connection with, how to save searches for specific criteria and more.
LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking site, primarily used for professional networking. It was launched in May 2003 and has more than 50 million registered users. The purpose of the site is to allow registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business. The people in the list are called Connections. Users can invite anyone (whether a site user or not) to become a connection.
