We'll share more information when we get our final report, but our external audit went well today and the entire process is a good reminder of how many benefits we get from being ISO certified. Here are some of them:
• First real estate company to be registered as both residential and commercial ISO certified in 1998. This ISO designation represents quality and consistency to rules and regulations to ensure the needs of our customers are met.
• There are no other real estate firms in our area who have achieved the ISO-9001 level of quality assurance which is what customer satisfaction is all about.
• We are a step above our competitors in service to our clients. ISO supports our “Customers for Life” goal by seeking customer feedback and analyzing it.
• Forces us to focus on "how we do business." Each procedure and work instruction is consistent and must be documented and thus, becomes the springboard for Continuous Improvement.
• Customer satisfaction and loyalty grows; we are a company that people want to do business with.
• The different parts of the company must work together to meet the common goal of customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the achievement of customer satisfaction gives the Preview Properties.com more satisfied customers. This leads to increased market share.
• Documented processes are the basis for repetition and help eliminate variation within the process. As variation is eliminated, efficiency improves. As efficiency improves, the cost of quality is reduced. We save time and money in long term and smoother closings.
• Reduced problems resulting from increased employee participation, involvement, awareness and systematic employee training (allows us to have knowledgeable employees who are capable of performing multiple job functions when vacations and illness cause short staffing).
• Improved communications both internally and externally between management, staff, sales associates and clients; which improves quality and efficiency.
I think that is great. I also think that list of advantages should be put in everyone's mailbox, since lots don't look at the blog! We shouldn't forget all the great stuff we have at PP!!!!!
